Director Erin Maureen Reid was born in Detroit and
has lived in Dallas since 1986. She began Irish dancing in 1991.
She competed and placed in the 1997 US Southern Regional Championships.
This qualified her for the World Championships in Ennis, County Clare, Ireland,
in which she completed in 1998. Erin performed with Dancing on Common Ground for their
1999-2000 season on a 50-city US tour. She opened Hibernia School of Irish Dance in
2000. In September 2001, she obtained her teaching certification (TCRG)
from the Irish Dancing
Commission (An Coimisiun le Rinci Gaelacha) in Dublin, Ireland. Erin has been a guest choreographer for the
Lone Star Ballet, as well as the founding artistic director for Iverin Irish
Dance Company, now the Hibernia Irish Dance Company. |
